<p>We can all thank the ancient Chinese for drawing our attention to the wonders that may be found in a simple yet pleasurable cup of green tea.</p>
<p>For centuries in ancient China, green tea was known for relieving headaches and depression. The tradition of drinking green tea has endured the test of time and today its popularity is soaring as technology breaks down the mystery behind the numerous benefits that are to be enjoyed by regular intake of this soothing drink.</p>
<p>There are three unique types of tea, although tea is available in many forms and varieties.</p>
<p>Whether black, green, or red, all tea starts from the harvesting of a warm weather evergreen known as Camellia Sinensis.  Once the leaves are processed, this is where the differences in the end product happen.</p>
<p>The more processing the leaves undergo, the darker the tea becomes, and thus &#8220;green&#8221; tea has had the least change to its original form.</p>
<p>Green tea is usually a leaf that has been quickly steamed while the blacks and reds have been dried, crushed and fermented making them appear to be stronger and thus more potent.</p>

<p>Tea is known to have polyphenols, an antioxidant which helps protect our bodies from free radical damage.</p>
<p>The measure of antioxidants is known as the ORAC score and tea has been found to rank higher than many fruits and vegetables, so you should seriously consider including tea in your everyday diet.</p>
<p>Aside from preventing blood clotting, studies have shown than polyphenols can decrease cholesterol levels.  Consuming four to six cups a day may also reduce gastric, esophageal and skin cancers. Try searching through the internet and you will see the endless list of ailments, aches, and pains that can be relieved by simply drinking green tea.</p>
<p>Among some of the better known of these are treatment and prevention of cancer, reduction of the risk of heart disease, relief from rheumatoid arthritis treatment of impaired immune functions.</p>
<p>The benefits of drinking green tea also extends to the treatment of digestive disorders, Alzheimer&#8217;s and Parkinson&#8217;s while raising metabolism and increasing fat oxidation.  It has also been found to help prevent tooth decay by killing the bacteria which causes dental plaque.</p>
<p>Whatever your purpose for drinking green tea, it is obvious that everyone can get some benefit from daily intake.</p>
<p>It should be noted that many of today&#8217;s more marketable &#8220;herbal teas&#8221; may or may not be tea at all as many of these products are blends of herbs and spices with other plant parts included for flavoring.</p>
<p>They do not contain the health promoting qualities of Camellia Sinensis.  Be careful when buying these products.  Check the ingredients to make sure you are buying the product that you expect.</p>

<p>The older we get it seems like the older our skin looks. More wrinkles appear all the time. To practice prevention of this aging problem, we have to learn how to keep this from happening. So let&#8217;s study why this condition can happen when we age. I will also talk about some treatments for this condition.</p>
<p>When we age the epidermal layer of skin becomes thinner. Also the epidermal cells are less cohesive causing the skin to lose moisture. The production of these cells slow as we age making it harder for the skin to heal itself. But the epidermis layer of skin aging is only one cause of wrinkles. Next I will talk about the dermal layer.</p>
<p>There is a thinning that happens in the dermal layer that can cause some problems. The collagen production is severely hampered and the skin has less ability to stretch. This can cause the skin to fold or crinkle. The sebaceous glands become less active therefore not enough sebum is produced causing the skin to dry. Even our sweat glands get less in quantity which can make the skin dryer.</p>
<p>There are plenty of over the counter solutions for wrinkles today. You can buy a cream to help erase them, or one to make the skin more firm, and there is actually creams that say they are for a facelift. Moisturizers are quite effective these days too with all the maximum strength ones out there. Consider applying one of the creams in place of more drastic solutions as performed by medical professionals.</p>
<p>Getting injected with botulinum toxin type A is one of the many medical ways to treat wrinkles. This treatment does not appeal to me due to the fact that I hate injections of any kind. Another treatment that is available is glycolic acid. I would research and learn about these and other medical procedures before having them done. Also investigate who and where you are thinking about having these procedures performed.</p>
<p>Smoking should be avoided for the sake of your health and skin. The blood vessels constrict during smoking disabling the skin from getting correct oxygen. Carbon monoxide can increase due to smoking which makes the skin react badly. This can increase the amount of free radicals, which can cause the skin to age faster.</p>

I will share some very easy steps in this article that you can follow to start defying your age.</p>
<p>Sitting up straight and putting shoulders back are very important for your health and appearance.  A good posture can make you look slimmer, taller, and confident. Many regard people with correct posture as young, happy, and at ease with their disposition. A good posture can even give you an instant weight loss of 10 pounds in the eyes of others. Its benefits, by the way, are not just for the outside.  A correct posture primarily puts muscles, joints, bones, and your organs to where they are supposed to sit.  It reduces the risk of having back and neck problems, arthritis, and other pains. A proper one too can help prevent the spine from becoming abnormally fixed which can lead to fatigue, headaches, and some problems with organs and functioning. With a proper posture, one can also experience less strain because one wouldn&#8217;t overuse his muscles. Stretching hourly and practicing the proper posture every hour can help strengthen the muscles that will be needed to hold the body erect.  A 10-year study indicated that couples who are in their 40&#8242;s who have sex at least three times a week look younger than those who enjoy it less often. The study even indicated that the faces of these couple have less lines and wrinkles, and have smoother and suppler skin. They credited this to the wonders of Oxytocin. It is a hormone released during sex that reduces stress. Having sex at nighttime is helpful, too!</p>
<p>Nicotine in cigarettes acts as a vasoconstrictor which constricts the blood flow in our body and hence inhibits the smooth and easy flow of oxygen and nutrients to their destination. Besides that, nicotine has a diuretic effect in which it saps the body of moisture making our skin tough and dry.</p>
<p>Carbon monoxide which is a harmful componet produced by smoking has a higher affinity to blood cells that oxygen. This reduces the amount of oxygen in the body.</p>
<p>Smoking also contains a large number of free radicals that attack healthy cells and damage normal tissues. Smoking reduces Vitamin A and collagen in the body. <p>When you finally come to a point of wanting to give up cigarettes for you, you will be flooded with hundreds of methods to quit smoking.  What works and what doesn&#8217;t?  All the options can be confusing whether you are trying to quit for the first time or have tried hundreds of times.</p>
<p>Method one is going cold turkey, never smoking another cigarette ever again.  For this with strong willpower and good reasons to quit, this does work.  But many people have also suffered failure trying this.  It&#8217;s better to go cold turkey if you have got to a point of only smoking a few cigarettes a day and if you have a relatively healthy diet.  If not withdrawal might be too much.  If you aren&#8217;t a person with significant willpower, you might want to try another method.</p>
<p>Hypnosis is another common method to stop smoking.  Essentially, the idea is to trick your mind away from it&#8217;s mental addiction to nicotine.  Again this has worked for some people, but many have also failed with this method.  It&#8217;s debatable on how much you are using your own willpower and how much the hypnosis is actually helping you.</p>
<p>Yet another method (and one of the better ones) is to use quit smoking aids.  These would be the patches, gums, and pills that can assist in the process.  You have to be careful in your choice of these items since many have high doses of nicotine.  You might break your habit with cigarettes but may also still be addicted to nicotine.</p>
<p>There are pills and gums that don&#8217;t have any nicotine that help curb the effects of withdrawal.  This could be the best way to quit smoking because it aids your willpower.</p>
<p>With all the methods out there, remember there is no easy way to quit smoking.</p>

<p>There are generally two types of individual: the first will eat anything they like the second will to a strict diet. For instance, do you eat anything and everything even if it is out of date? The triple chocolate gateau is sitting there on the kitchen table and you just can&#8217;t resist. Well you are not alone because many people are like this today, never considering their diet or the benefits that health supplements can bring.</p>
<p>If that sounds like you I would warn against such behavior that can have such a detrimental effect on your long term health. This is simply detrimental to your health, in fact, maybe you want to kick some of those food habits and test out some contemporary health supplements. These supplements often give you far more than you realize short term and long term. I&#8217;ve had people tell me they don&#8217;t like using them and then in the same breath tell me that they have never tried them to start with.</p>
<p>So how come they are so sure they won&#8217;t like them then, it&#8217;s not as if they are being asked to eat a locust or a fly larva is it? Besides, the ones I&#8217;m referring to are the very pleasant health supplements that are flavored with chocolate, vanilla and banana for instance. I have been taking some form of food supplement for years now including a good multivitamin that contains more essential vitamins than I can remember. I believe everyone no matter how healthily you eat would benefit from taking multivitamins and all you do is swallow one at a mealtime.</p>

<p>If rewarding yourself for healthy behavior does not offer you enough incentive, think about your family, especially if you have small children in the home. The vast majority of parents claim they want only what is good for their children, then fill the air with smoke for them to inhale and potentially become ill from breathing. Take a look at your children and think of the quit smoking ways you will try to give them a better, healthier life.</p>
<p>Smokers should pay attention to advertisements on television, the radio and in newspapers.
